Stop Smoking - You Can Do It!

Stop Smoking

Some people are under misconception and take smoking as a hobby. According to recent studies conducted by AMA, American Lung and Heart Associations and the American Cancer society smoking is one of the main causes of premature death. Smoking means you are giving to yourself a slow poison treatment. Smoking does not only meteorites the smoker’s health but it also affects the nearby standing person like your kids as their organs are on developing stage.

The moment somebody starts talking about our habit, we feel queasy. The fact is, even we know that something has to be done about it and it is this feeling that makes us squirm. This silver lining is what makes us take sneak peeks at manuals like this one, which are like stepping stones towards quitting the habit.

Most people know what is good for them and what is bad. Come on we all live in a very civilized society and all of us are more or less fairly well educated. But then, why is it that certain people develop certain habits and others do not? The reason is pretty simple. We all are products of the circumstances we grew up in. That is the simple reason why some of us like doing some thing while the others do not.

There are many articles and scientific research as to why smoking and second hand smoking is bad for your health. It should be noted that being a non smoker is the best way to avoid the hazards of smoking.  There are many benefits to being a non smoker, several of which will be outlined. Being a non smoker indeed has multiple benefits.

In fact, if everyone in this world started accepting his or her weaknesses, well then heaven would indeed be a place on earth. But let us leave heavenly things aside and come to very worldly things, because this problem is indeed a very worldly one, which does promise certain heavenly results if it is not addressed as soon as possible. Most of us know that smoking is indeed a habit that can have many serious implications on our health but there is a tendency to view the problem lightly. It’s important that every smoker be aware of the facts concerning smoking and so I have included certain facts and figures that I hope will serve as eye openers.

For starters, individuals that do not smoke do not have to run the risk of having deadly illnesses, such as cancer of the mouth, liver, kidneys, throat and other vital organs.  Individuals that smoke often run into respiratory problems, so being a non smoker can be highly beneficial, especially if you have respiratory problems to begin with.  Individuals that are non smokers can also have a less chance of receiving various types of gum diseases, such as gingivitis, and gum decay. The nicotine and tar from the cigarettes take a toll on one's teeth, often discoloring the teeth, and in some instances, eating away at the gums, thus destroying the teeth themselves.

Many people believe that the benefits of being a non smoker is that you will live a healthier life, which is true, but there are other benefits as well. Smoking is a stinky habit, and therefore can lead to your hair, clothes, vehicle and home smelling like cigarette smoke.  Being a non smoker will alleviate all of these problems.  As much, being a non smoker can also effect your pet and children's lives, as there will not be toxic carcinogens that are pouring out of the cigarettes into their lungs.  Women that are non smokers have a much higher rate of having healthy children...children that are born at a normal birth weight, and with fully developed organs.

A further benefit of being a non smoker is that you can live a longer life than those individuals that are smokers.  A non smoker can live a life that is without the worries of having to pay for high cigarette rates, discoloration of the nails ( they often turn yellow from years of tobacco abuse), as well as foul breath.  A non smoker can also exercise easier without having to worry about being out of breath.

Clearly, there are many benefits of being a non smoker. Aside from the fact that your overall health will be much better being a non smoker, the most important aspect of being a non smoker is that you can live a healthier, longer life. With the proper education and understanding, one can learn the many benefits of being a non smoker.
